Much will be of the best known groups in Cuba. There is a world of true Afrocuban music that to date has been exposed to only a few lucky people. Our goal is to video tape the great wealth of Cuban Rumba and music of the Santos and make it available to everyone that is curious or are aficionados of this great music.

About this video

Yoruba Andabo performs Rumba. Yoruba Andabo is one of the finest rumba groups in La Habana. Their brand of rumba is super exciting with vocals by"Chan and Chapotin" and the excellent drumming by Freddy Martinez. All members of this group are excellent. The video taping of this video is less than the standard of Orisha Productions. This was videotaped live at Las Vega in Old Habana. While two cameras were used the lighting was less than desirable.

	Familia Taquechel is the same as Grupo Ita Oromi. The Familia taquechel is from La Lisa, a suburb of Cuidad la Habana. This is their second adventure with Orisha Productions and they have developed a following. They have been described with such adjectives as, raw, firey, and exciting. They are normally religous drummers playing for ceramonies. Emilio, pictured above is the leader. They have their first CD titled, Rumba Taquechel, thus the name of this video.
