Our goal is to video tape the great wealth of Cuban Rumba and music of the Santos and make it available to everyone that is curious or are aficionados of this great music.

In this video, Afro Cuba de Matanzas performs: Guaguanco Matancero. They are one of Cuba's most popular groups. They perform music from Bantu, Arara and Congo. This group with its extended family have performed for more than forty years. And like Los Muñequitos de Matanzas maintains the tradition that Matanzas is famous for. They are in constant demand for religious ceremonies and for rumbas as well. In this video you will see excellent dancing and drumming and song.

	Familia Taquechel is the same as Grupo Ita Oromi. The Familia taquechel is from La Lisa, a suburb of Cuidad la Habana. This is their second adventure with Orisha Productions and they have developed a following. They have been described with such adjectives as, raw, firey, and exciting. They are normally religous drummers playing for ceramonies. Emilio, pictured above is the leader. They have their first CD titled, Rumba Taquechel, thus the name of this video.
