About this video
Que Siga La Rumba, features The Familia Taquchel. This Family maintains the strong tradition of the rumba and of the Santeria religion. Conditions to video tape this were less than desirable. But the group is so spontaneous and blocking and other normal procedures used for filming do not apply. They start abruptly going from song to song. This was filmed in a little hut in La Lisa in what started out to be a neigbnorhood dance contest. But it never follows any plans. This video has become popular especially with the traditionalists. Various personalities have lauded this video for it's unrehearsed quality. And as mentioned before, they will be coming out with their first CD in November or December. They have been referred to as the truth because of their simplicity. This video features dancing, drumming, singing in the best rumbero tradition.
